TESTING REVISIONS The Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation (WSDC) would like to announce that many of the registration deadlines for the American Family Insurance Badger State Summer Games are coming up in the following weeks. "Some of our events have closed already with many of them closing in the next week to 10 days," states Tim Allen, WSDC Marketing Director. "We would hate for someone to miss out on this year's games because they inadvertently missed a deadline." Participation numbers for this summer's Games are running approximately 33% ahead of the same time last year. WSDC attributes this to increased marketing efforts as well as a strong track record of staging great sporting events. "We really made an effort to reach more people across the state and to start marketing to them a little bit earlier than we have in the past," notes Allen. "We're really pleased with what the numbers look like at this time but we realize that we've got a long way to go." Many summer Games events are close to reaching WSDC's capacity to host all the participants. "Our youth soccer numbers are through the roof at them moment," Allen reports. "We haven't seen youth soccer numbers like these in the last 9 or 10 years. Our basketball and wrestling numbers are very strong as well. Overall we're really excited with where we are currently." The 2007 American Family Insurance Badger State Summer Games take place June 15th through the 24th in Madison and surrounding communities. 2007 marks the 23rd year of the summer games. The American Family Insurance Badger State Summer Games are the 4th largest summer state games in the country with over 10,000 participants making their way to Madison each year.
