Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation is pleased to announce that the Badger State Games Cycling Criterium will once again take place on the Capitol Square.

For the past two years, due to construction, the event has taken place at Research Park on the West side of Madison. "Research Park is a great venue for criteriums. The wide rounded corners make it very safe," said Jason Diaz, Director of Operations for the Badger State Games. "While it's a great course, there's a different atmosphere of racing around Capitol Square."

"Another bonus is the added exposure. Having the event on the square will give those who've never seen a cycling event to get a taste of the action," commented Diaz. "Chances are if you're not doing the race, you're not going to find yourself at Research Park on a Sunday afternoon."

The Badger State Games Criterium will take place Sunday June 25. Events run from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm. Onsite registration is available. You must register at least 30 minutes before the start of your race.
