SCHEDULE Check-in: Sunday 10:00AM. All competitors must check in at least 15 minutes prior to their event. Registered athletes may pick up competitor numbers up to 15 minutes prior to their race. Weigh-ins for Mountaineer competition will be conducted at the check-in area. All competitors must check in at least 15 minutes prior to their event. Start Time/Running Order: 4X200M relay: 11:30AM Youth 400 meter: 11:45AM (possible multiple heats, dependent on number of racers) Mile Run: 1 Heat, after completion of 400m heats 5K, 10K and Mountaineer (also 10K): 1:00 pm (Schedule subject to change, check this page for future updates.) | |||||||||||||||
COMPETITION General Rules: 5K and 10K competitors must be at least 9 years old. WISCONSIN, ILLINOIS, MINNESOTA AND MICHIGAN RESIDENTS ONLY. Format: Males and females compete separately. Equipment: Participant can request snowshoes on a first come, first served basis by calling (608) 226-4780 Ext. 233 before Jan. 21, 2010. Limited equipment available. Smallest snowshoe sizes allowed (any construction): · Mountaineer class - 9" x 45" · 9-13 age group - 7" x 22" · All other age groups and classes - 8" x 22" Mountaineer Competition: Weight, backpack and snowshoes provided by the competitor. Competitors must carry a minimum of 15 pounds. Any style snowshoe within specified guidelines (see Equipment) Divisions: (Age determined as of February 7, 2010) *Children ages 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult throughout the course. *Out of State participants are grouped in with all other participants
