Moving to Fox Cities in 2009

Moving the American Family Insurance Badger State Summer Games to the Fox Cities helps accomplish the mission of the Wisconsin Sports Development Corporation (WSDC); which is statewide in terms of geographic scope.

Currently, the WSDC holds several events in the Greater Madison, Central Wisconsin/Wausau and Milwaukee areas. Moving the American Family Insurance Badger State Summer Games to the Fox Cities Area gives the organization an opportunity to more effectively reach another area of Wisconsin.

Diversifying the geographic location of events allows the WSDC to advance sports tourism statewide and fulfill its mission by fostering participation, competition and memorable experiences through events and programs that support good health, active lifestyles and a sense of community.
